A little about the happenings on our Homestead in West Greenwich RI . What keeps us coming and going ,our interests, hobbies etc You may hear about spinning or preparing fiber, an ETSY shop, musical events, pygora goats and their kids, and the trials of refining my practice as an Occupational Therapist, as I try to juggle it all. We have some 2 legged kids too. When they come back to the nest for a touch down visit, I might include some of that fun :)

- I am an occupational therapist and currently practicing in Early Intervention. I have practiced in a variety of arenas, but working with babies and families is very rewarding to me and I get to play all day ;). After 9/11, I started to realize that if I wanted have my dream of a little homestead "farmette" come true, that I needed to make it happen. I did some research and found out about Pygora goats as a wonderful small farm fiber producing animal. I started raising pygora goats and found them to be fascinating animals that produce luscious fleece. I have been intrigued with spinning since I was a young girl and my parents bought me a toy spinning wheel toy as a child. One thing led to another, and Harmony Homestead was born. I have always had strong interests in creative arts and animals and have found a perfect way to combine the two.
